The brand
An event is over in one night. The film has to work for a year.
A Porsche Centre hosted an evening for its customers: cars on the floor, speeches from the staircase, partner brands and a full showroom of guests. Evenings like this take a lot to put on and are finished the same night.
The usual event film is a record. Wide shots of a busy room and a speaker at a microphone prove the night happened, and nobody watches them twice.
The idea
Film the evening the way a guest would remember it.
Nobody remembers an event in wide shots. They remember arriving and seeing the building lit up, the first car they walked over to, the detail they leaned in to look at and the moment the room reacted.
So the film follows that order. It runs for thirty-four seconds and is built to feel like an invitation to the next one.
- ArriveThe showroom lit up, a line of cars in the dark.
- The roomThe whole floor, seen from above.
- Up closeThe crest, red leather, a rear wing.
- The peopleSpeeches from the stairs, and a full house.
The film
The building, the room, the details, the people. In that order.
It opens outside, with the showroom glowing and a row of cars in the dark. Inside, the camera goes from the full floor seen from above to the things you would lean in to look at: the crest on a bonnet, red leather seats, a rear wing.
The people come last: the speeches from the staircase, the laughter, and the room full at the end.
