A showroom after hours, filmed on nothing but an iPhone.

The brand
Every Mercedes-Benz showroom sells the same cars. What differs is the room.
This one has a 190 SL under its own sign, a lounge with a red coupé beside the sofas, a Maybach corner, an AMG hall lit by a single red line across the floor and two G-Classes waiting in the dark. Anyone can see the cars on the manufacturer’s website. The room is the part they have to come for.
Showroom films are usually made with a crew, a lighting rig and a closed floor, and the result looks like the manufacturer’s footage with a different address on the end.
The idea
Walk through it on the phone in your pocket, and let the room light itself.
The whole film was shot on an iPhone, handheld, in the showroom’s own light: no rig, no extra lamps, nobody on the floor but the person filming. The phone is the method and the room is the subject, because it already looks like this every evening to anyone who walks in.
So the film moves the way a visitor does: from the 190 SL to the lounge, across to the Maybach corner, down into the AMG hall, close enough to read a badge and count the spokes on a wheel, then out through the doors to the G-Class parked under the star.

The film
Twenty-three seconds, one walk, and the showroom’s own light.
It opens on the 190 SL, goes through the lounge and its red coupé to the two-tone SL under the Maybach sign, then drops into the AMG hall, where a red laser line runs across the floor. Then the details: an AMG badge, a red brake calliper, a Maybach wheel, a grille with a Dubai plate.
A blue and a black G-Class sit in the dark, the 190 SL waits on its whitewalls with the lounge behind it, and the film ends outside at night with the three-pointed star lit above a G-Class on the forecourt.
